A little note to say…

Hello and welcome to our little space fondly known as To Aufinity and Beyond!

Let me begin by telling you a little about our family…

My name is Becci, I’m 26 years old and I am blessed to have a beautiful family with my partner Joe and our three boys, Riley 7, Sonny 5 and Zachary 2. We live in a lovely little town in Hertfordshire that’s been home to us for all our lives.

When I am not with my littles, I work part time in a Chiropractic, Osteopathy and Massage centre in the heart of Welwyn Garden City.

I began blogging October 2016 having never blogged before in my life. I was just approaching some kind of light at the end of a very dark period. I had come to the realisation that Sonny had difficulties that set him apart from other children his age. The moment came during a trip to Walton on the Naze for Zachary’s 1st birthday. For us all, it was a time where we all felt helpless and a little out of our depth. For me, it was a time where I felt completely alone.

We are currently awaiting assessment for diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Hypermobility and want to be able to share experiences with all those around us. We are very fortunate to have been welcomed into a great ASD community I never knew existed and I have had so much great advice and support that I would love to share. As I have learnt more about Autism, the more passionate I have become about raising awareness. I believe that from awareness becomes understanding and acceptance. We need more of this in the world.

I am an advocate for Chiropractic and Osteopathy care and passionately share the impact they have had on our family especially Sonny who due to hypermobility had an extremely unstable pelvis. Left unnoticed, he would have developed further problems. Alongside our regular adjustments, we strive to be as happy and as healthy as we can possibly be.

…So here is where we will share our ups and our not-so-ups, our frustrations and our successes. All that is Autism, warts and all. To let others like us know they are not alone in their journey however it differs from ours. We are at the beginning of a road, to where we aren’t quite sure but if just one person reads our story and it makes a difference to them, I will be happy.

We love our ausome family to aufinity and beyond, we hope you will too.
